Comsky Backup vs cloud file sync
Most businesses that think they have a backup have a folder that syncs. The difference does not show up until the day it matters, which is the worst possible day to discover it.
File sync is excellent at what it is for: the same file on two machines. It is not built to get you back to last Tuesday after something went wrong on Wednesday.

When file sync is genuinely enough
If the only thing you would ever need back is a document somebody is actively editing, and you would not miss anything older than the last version, sync covers it and a backup product is an extra bill. Plenty of small teams are honestly in that position. The test is simple: decide how far back you would need to go after a bad Wednesday, and check whether your sync tool can actually go there.
