Is the console included, or is it an add-on?
Included. Mobile and BI are both in every paid tier — one subscription per Tally serial covers them. The Report Builder and the AI analyst switch on from Growth.
What is a semantic layer, in practice?
Measures and dimensions are defined once over your Tally facts, and every surface resolves against those definitions rather than writing its own query. In practice it means a tile on the phone, a saved report and an AI answer cannot quietly compute “sales” three different ways.
Can I build my own reports?
Yes, from Growth. Pick a data source, the metrics and a group-by in the Report Builder and save the result to your dashboards. There is no SQL to write and no way to reach another tenant’s data.
Can the console write into Tally?
Yes, once you enable it per company. A receipt, invoice or payment raised in the console joins the Push Queue and posts into Tally when the connector next polls. Until you turn write-back on, the connector holds no write permission at all.
Who can see what?
Owner, accountant, viewer and read-only CA, each scoped to a company rather than the account. A CA invited to one company sees that company, read-only, and nothing else.
Where do I sign in?
The web console and the mobile app take the same account. The Windows connector is a separate download, installed on the machine running TallyPrime.
